East wall, or the memory of centuries

In the course of its restoration, to ensure the traces of history continue to guide the future of the Kasbah, part of the historic East wall was preserved as it was found after the earthquake, bearing the scars of history, its retro-fits, plugs and stop-gaps, and bears witness to the way in which the wall was built, as well as the old lime and which have survived the earthquake.
